OhmyGod! I agree with something Gerald Warner has written! Either he is talking sense for once or I have totally lost it....

I don't think so, Miss H.
The history of previous British engagements that Warner describes is there for all to see. It does not make pleasant reading and suggests that our current cabinet is either ignorant of or ignores the lessons learned then.
Many will recall the nightly television images during the more recent conflict involving the Soviet Union.
