The Savannah Regional Central Labor Council and the Coastal Heritage Society threw their annual Labor Day family picnic at the Railroad Roundhouse Museum in Savannah.
They had all kinds of food and games, live music and a dessert bake-off.
Organizers said the most important message they have is for Georgians to educate themselves about goods and services produced in Georgia.
"We lost 81,000 jobs in the last five years in Georgia alone," said Brett Hulme with the Central Labor Council. "If we can educate the public, it will give them a buying preference as a consumer."
This was the fourth Labor Day family picnic.
