The Brumbies are hoping their unique style of play may be a deciding factor in swaying Wallaby Matt GIteau to re-sign on their dotted line.
Back from a three-week injury lay-off, Giteau slotted straight into the Brumbies starting line-up against the Cheetahs, scoring the first try and giving the defence plenty of grief.
The Brumbies rediscovered their attacking flair, scoring seven tries and running riot in the second half.
Coach Laurie Fisher hoped the return of the Brumbies' incredible running game, of which Giteau is a crucial component, would help keep the 23-year-old at the Brumbies in the coming years.
"One of the reasons players like to be at the Brumbies is because of the style of play," Fisher said.
"It's unique to the Brumbies and part of that culture of why people want to be here in the first place and why they want to stay."
"I think we've been unable to rediscover a little bit of that tonight and hopefully Gitty will go back and think 'gee I enjoyed that.'"
Brumbies flyhalf Stephen Larkham said Giteau was influential in his return and said whilst the team wanted him to say, ultimately the decision is his.
"Gits was really good out there, a lot of talk from him, a lot of direction and running some really good lines," Larkham said.
"I think all the guys like to help him and [would] love to sway his opinion to stay with the Brumbies.
"In the end it's Gits' call and we'll be happy with whatever that is."
With so much interest from rival clubs Fisher was happy with the ARU's decision to set the April 19 deadline.
"I think mulling over it for weeks and weeks serves no real purpose so you'd like him to make a decision," Fisher said.
Giteau has been given a loose deadline by the ARU to decide his future in the next few weeks.
